Vuulr was at Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) SG:Digital Industry Day on 22 November where our winning solution was presented to an invite-only audience. This event is intended to outline efforts to help Singapore ride on emerging technological trends. While Vuulr services a global industry, we are elated to be recognised at home.
Vuulr’s winning application centres around our “Content Industry Supply Chain Protocol” (C.I.S.P.). C.I.S.P. that is built to “Hollywood Supported” industry-accepted standards by EIDR, Digital EMA and MovieLabs. It is designed to support the management of Digital Video IP Assets, with Unique Asset Identifiers, Contractual Avails, and the MetaData essential for the digital transformation of the industry. The first iteration, slated for completion in early 2019, will be an open protocol that will define the schema and interfaces implementing these industry-accepted specifications. The protocol will enable media industry partners to leverage and build upon a consistent, global, single-shared view of the industry’s data. Industry partners will be able to extend the protocol’s functionality by building custom decentralised applications (dApps) to satisfy their specific needs.
“IMDA’s support will allow Vuulr to bring forward our development milestone and highlight the benefits of Standards and C.I.S.P. for the whole entertainment industry. We look forward to supporting the Content Creators (and Broadcasters and OTTs) in the Film & TV industry in Singapore, the region and indeed, globally” said Vuulr’s CEO, Ian McKee.
